Getting Started

Before you start your application, you should research the application process and which universities and programs you want to apply to.

The Ontario government announced proposed legislation to condense consecutive teacher education programs to a 1-year (12-month) model, with the first cohort starting in May 2027. The TEAS Application Guide will be available in August with information about 2027 entry.

Open programs for fall 2026 reflect the current 4-semester Bachelor of Education (BEd) consecutive program.

Is TEAS the right application for me?

The Teacher Education Application Service (TEAS) allows you to apply to a 4-semester Bachelor of Education (BEd) consecutive program at an Ontario university.

The 4-semester BEd program leads to the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR).
